Help to Start a New Life

Chinese Association of Mississauga is a registered charity that offers services and programs for newcomers living in the Mississauga area. Its settlement workers speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. The services are free of charge (except for translation services).

Association Mandate:

• Uniting the residents of Mississauga who are of Chinese origin;
• Preserving and perpetuating the traditions of the Chinese culture;
• Sponsoring literary, musical and other educational and cultural events, festivals, pageants and conventions for the promotion of people of Chinese descent;
• Promoting the interests of members and providing mutual aid and assistance whenever necessary;
• Establishing and maintaining a centre for cultural activities for Canadians of Chinese descent in Mississauga;
• Providing education, counseling and other support services for immigrants and refugees in need, including language instruction, employment training, job search programs, translation services and information programs on Canadian culture and life;

• 透過主辦文藝、音樂、教育、文化及一些大型會演，宣揚中華文化予新一代加國華人。
• 促進會員興趣和資訊交流，提倡會員間相互協助的精神。
• 為密市新一代加國華人建立一個文化活動中心。
• 就移民及難民所需提供各類服務如教肓、諮詢、語言訓練、就業訓練、尋找工作、翻譯服務等等，以協助移民及難民認識加國文化及生活。
